  1. You must Close QuickBooks before beginning.
  2. We advise you to download the QuickBooks Tool Hub's most recent version (1.4.0.0). Save the file in a location where you can locate it quickly, such as your Windows desktop or Downloads folder. Note: You can determine which version of Tool Hub you have if you have already installed it. Choosing the Home tab. The version will be shown in the lower right corner, or you may choose to view it.
  3. Launch the downloaded file, QuickBooksToolHub.exe.
  4. To install and accept the terms and conditions, follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. To access the tool hub when the installation is complete, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop.

Step 2: Via Tool Hub, run the Quick Fix My Program

  1. Click Programme Problems in the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
  2. Pick Quick Fix my Programme in step two.
  3. Open your data file on QuickBooks Desktop after launching it.

Solution 2: Rename the file QBWUSER.ini

Renaming the QBWUSER.ini file could fix the problem if your QBWUSER.ini file is broken or missing.

When renaming a file:

  1. Access the folder of the QBWUSER.ini file: People [Your user name]Quickbooks AppDataLocal [year].
  2. You might need to activate hidden files and folders if you cannot see the folder.
  3. Click Rename from the context menu of the QBWUSER.ini file.
  4. Finish the file name with .old (example: QBWUSER.ini.old).
  5. Change the file's name to EntitlementDataStore.ecml.
  6. Launch QuickBooks Desktop again.

Try opening an example business file if the program launches after you rename either QBWUSER.ini or EntitlementDataStore.ecml.

Copy your file to a different folder if you can open a sample firm but not your own. From the new location, open it. (We advise using a local folder.) If your file can be opened, a damaged folder or improper folder permissions may be to blame.

Even after that, if you still cannot sign in to your file, your company file is probably corrupted. Instead, attempt to restore that file from a previous backup. You can also contact 1.855.738.2784 for the support team for advanced solutions to fix ‘QuickBooks not working’ error.
