Method 1: Check your QuickBooks hosting status

  • Go to the Files menu
  • Tap on utilities
  • Click on stop hosting to multi-user access
  • Try to access the file in multi-user mode
  • See on your screen if the “open file in multi-user mode” box appears and tick on it
