WhatsApp was launched in 2009 But in India, it came in 2012. In starting Whatsapp could only be used to send and receive
messages by that time users could use video calls, voice calls, and emojis and form a group.
After some years in India, it gained more popularity among Indians than any other messaging App. India has more Whatsapp users
than any other country, with 487.5 million users. 
After gaining popularity in India people started using Whatsapp to sell their products.
 In 2018 Whatsapp launched the "WhatsApp Business" App for Business Accounts. 
"WhatsApp Business" is a global messaging and customer support app with more features than simple WhatsApp.
"WhatsApp Business" is used by Business user who has small, local businesses to reach their audience. 
By using Business tools available in "WhatsApp Business" you can easily interact with your customers.

Business Profile


You can create a Business profile with information for your customers such as your website, your location, Email address, business
hours, and business description. It gives your customers assurance that you are a genuine seller. Whatsapp has to confirm that 
you have a verified business account. It will build trust among your customers. They can visit your website from your WhatsApp
page.

Catalog


The catalogs feature allows you to showcase your goods/services, so people could easily browse and check the Goods/services
they are interested to buy. With this feature, you don't need to send every product with the price and description every single
time someone asks for it. With every product/service, you can add information such as price, and description.
In Oct 2021 WhatsApp add a collection feature for all WhatsApp business users. This will enable you to organize your catalog 
better and products into the category so customers don't have to scroll through long lists of products.

 

Quick replies


It's a time-saving feature. Half of the queries you received in a day have common questions. Quick replies let you save
and reuse messages you often send to customers to solve their queries in no time. Just simply press "/" on your keyword and
select the quick reply and send it to customers according to their query.
In July 2022 WhastApp released the new feature of "Quick reply", now users can reply to an incoming message within a notification 
view.

Greeting messages


Greeting your customer when they message you show them that you value them and are willing to help them. It makes your
first impression positive. "WhatsApp Business" gives you features to create a greeting message that a customer will receive when 
they message you 1st time and also to your existing customer after 14 days of inactivity.

Away Messages

If a customer messages you after working hours still you can connect with your customers by using the 'Away messages' feature in "WhatsApp
business. It will show customers that you care about them even after working hours. You can customize them and schedule them
whenever you like.
