Special Summoned monsters cannot be destroyed by battle during the turn they are summoned
There are several ways to Special Summon monsters. Some are through card effects, while others are through the monster's effect. To make a Special Summon, the monster must meet the conditions on the card. The conditions can be as simple as being in your graveyard, or more complicated, such as having a special summoning card.
If the Special Summoned monster is destroyed by the opponent's card, the effect will no longer be active. This is because the Special Summoned monster cannot be attacked by battle during the turn it is summoned.
Some special summons do not allow the card to be destroyed. This includes Pendulum Summons, Ritual Summons, and Link Summons. Unlike Flip Summons, these Special Summons do not create Chain Links.
