The German soccer team parted ways with its own brand, Adidas, and began working with Nike.

The German Football Association (DFB) announced on the association’s official website on the 21st (local time) that it will enter into an equipment partnership with Nike starting in 2027.

DFB signed a national team sponsorship contract with Adidas, a domestic brand, for about 70 years.

However, for financial reasons, they join hands with Nike, which is a rival to Adidas.

“We are looking forward to cooperating with Nike,” said Chairman Bernd Neuendorf. “Through our future partnership, we will continue to carry out our core work for the comprehensive development of German football over the next 10 years,” he said.

He added, “However, by December 2026, we will do our best to achieve joint success with Adidas, our long-standing partner to whom German football owes a lot for more than 70 years.”
