Playing in South Korea, you can have it all. But this player chose to pursue his dreams abroad. This is Lee Hyun-joong (24, Osaka Evessa), who plays in the Japan Professional Basketball B League.
Last season, he joined the NBL, where he became a starter midway through the season. His team, the Illawarra Hawks, also made the playoffs and won the title. He finished the season with 7.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 45% shooting from the field while playing 17.2 minutes per game. Most importantly, he improved his defense and athleticism, which were his weaknesses.
Immediately after the playoffs in Australia, Lee boarded a plane to Japan, where he chose to join the Osaka Ebessa of the Nippon Professional Basketball League to waste no time in the offseason. Having already missed out on the playoffs, Osaka chose to sign Lee Hyun-jung for the remainder of the season.
