Higher salaries, stardom, national ace status, and quality time with family.

Playing in South Korea, you can have it all. But this player chose to pursue his dreams abroad. This is Lee Hyun-joong (24, Osaka Evessa), who plays in the Japan Professional Basketball B League.

Last season, he joined the NBL, where he became a starter midway through the season. His team, the Illawarra Hawks, also made the playoffs and won the title. He finished the season with 7.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 45% shooting from the field while playing 17.2 minutes per game. Most importantly, he improved his defense and athleticism, which were his weaknesses.

Immediately after the playoffs in Australia, Lee boarded a plane to Japan, where he chose to join the Osaka Ebessa of the Nippon Professional Basketball League to waste no time in the offseason. Having already missed out on the playoffs, Osaka chose to sign Lee Hyun-jung for the remainder of the season.

Lee made his debut on Dec. 20, pouring in 24 points against last season's champions, the Ryukyu Golden Kings. 안전놀이터 He was 3-of-8 from long-range, and from the first game, he established himself as Osaka's one-two punch alongside former Hyundai Mobis player Sean Long.

The good play continues. In Osaka's first home game against Hiroshima on the 27th, Lee solidified himself as a starter with 16 points, five rebounds, and four three-pointers. The Osaka fans are already enthusiastic about the young man from South Korea.

The Osaka club held an official signing press conference for Lee on July 26th. Korean journalists were able to participate online and ask questions. I would like to thank the B-League officials and the Osaka club for this great opportunity.
