What are The Best Time to Plan?

In the four sacred locations, snowfall starts at the beginning week of October and lasts until the Diwali celebration. Chardham Yatra Opening & Closing Dates 2024

Every year, the Yatra starts in the time frames of April and May. How to Reach?

By Air: Char Dhams may be reached by plane from Jolly Grant Airport, which is the closest airport. You may simply hire a car or taxi outside the terminal to get to Gaurikund, which is a starting point for the Kedarnath Dham Yatra.

There is adequate motorway connection in Gaurikund. Outside the airport, buses and taxis are available for the Badrinath Dham Yatra.

By Rail: The train stop closest to the holiest site of the Chardham is Rishikesh and from here buses and taxis are frequently operated to Gaurikund the starting trekking point for the Kedarnath Yatra. You can also find buses and cabs for the Badrinath Yatra. Trains from Rishikesh to Gangotri Dham are plentiful. Taxis and buses are regularly accessible to  different places of Uttarakhand.

The closest train station to Yamunotri Dham is Dehradun, followed by Rishikesh. Taxis and buses are plentiful to Hanuman Chatti to reach here. 

By Road: The Kedarnath Shrine can only be seen after you have arrived in Gaurikund. You can take busses from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi to travel to Rishikesh. This location is the closest and easiest to get to Gaurikund. There is a bus to Gaurikund that leaves from Rishikesh. Additionally, there are buses from adjacent places in Uttarakhand .

NH58 connects Ghaziabad to the Badrinath Shrine. There are plenty of taxis and buses that go from Karnprayag, Rishikesh, Pauri, Ukhimath to Badrinath.

For the Yatra, you may simply book a cab or taxi, but this might get expensive. Buses are an excellent and affordable mode of transportation.
