HIFU, or High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, is a revolutionary treatment for a non-surgical face lift approach to a traditional surgical facelift.
It works by penetrating energy into the Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System- the muscular system of the face, this is the same system that is manipulated during a surgical facelift, the deep dermis, and subcutaneous fibrous tissue.
Energy is transmitted into these layers causing controlled trauma. This then causes contraction and tightening of the muscular layer, leading to repair, and immediate collagen stimulation, rejuvenating, firming, and plumping the skin.
