Hwang Ui-jo (32, Alanyaspor) came on as a substitute but could not prevent his team from losing.

Hwang Ui-jo's club Alanyaspor lost 0-4 at home to Galatasaray in the 32nd round of the 2023-2024 Ligue 1 on Saturday (June 16).

Hwang Ui-jo came on as a substitute in the 17th minute of the second half, but failed to register an offensive point.

With the loss, Alanyaspor remained in 10th place in the league with 42 points (W10 D12 L10).

Hwang made his debut for the club in the 24th minute of the second half against Demirspor on March 18. But just four minutes later, Hwang went down holding his thigh. It was a recurrence of a nagging hamstring injury.

Three days later, Hwang came on as a substitute in a league match against Gaziantep FK. He failed to record an offensive point in that match, but his team won 3-0.

Hwang is going through a difficult time. After joining Nottingham Forest in the Premier League in the 2022-2023 season, Hwang was sent out on loan to Olympiakos in Greece, the same club that owns the club, but his contract was terminated early.

Hwang then spent six months on loan at FC Seoul in the K League from the beginning of last year.

After improving his form, 스포츠토토 Hwang was loaned out again to Norwich City, but his contract expired early due to injuries and a personal life controversy. Upon his return to Nottingham, he didn't play a single game and was loaned out again to Turkeeye.

He was also suspended from the national team. Hwang was investigated by the police several times for "illegally filming a sexual relationship". He was even banned from leaving the country while under investigation.

The case began in June last year when Hwang's brother-in-law, Mr. A, who introduced himself as Hwang's former lover, released a video of a sexual relationship between Hwang and the woman. Hwang later claimed that the video was leaked through a cell phone he lost in Greece and that he was also a victim of blackmail.

The scandal grew as Hwang was investigated by the police as a suspect in the illegal filming of sex. In addition, Mr. A, who exposed his personal life, was revealed to be his brother-in-law, who had long supported Hwang Ui-jo. He stubbornly denied the allegations, but after a long investigation, he eventually admitted to the charges.

On March 14, the Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Division 31 (Chief Judge Park Joon-seok) sentenced Hwang Ui-jo to three years in prison for filming and dissemination using a camera under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act. He was also ordered to complete a 40-hour sexual assault treatment program and be banned from working in organizations related to children, youth, and the disabled for three years.

The Korean Football Association also banned Hwang from the national team, and he missed the Asian Cup in Qatar earlier this year.
