The Henley Passport Index has recently released its latest report, revealing India's remarkable climb in passport rankings. Placing India at an impressive 80th spot, the country has surged five positions from its previous ranking in 2022. Notably, Indian nationals can now travel to 57 countries without the need for a visa, marking a significant improvement for Indian passport holders. The Henley Passport Index is an invaluable online tool that assesses and ranks global passports based on their visa-free and visa-on-arrival accessibilities.

In the current standings, Singapore holds the topmost position in the index, possessing the world's most powerful passport. Holders of the Singaporean passport relish visa-free access to an astonishing 192 destinations out of a total of 199. Conversely, Japan, which held the title of the strongest passport for five consecutive years, has now slipped to the third position due to a reduction in visa-free access for its passport holders. Occupying the second position are Germany, Italy, and Spain, extending visa-free access to 190 destinations.

It's crucial to note that while Indian passport holders can travel visa-free to 57 countries, there are still 177 destinations worldwide where a visa is required for entry. This includes countries such as the United States, China, Russia, Japan, and various European Union nations.

The list of 57 nations that Indian citizens can visit without a visa includes: Barbados, Bhutan, Bolivia, British Virgin Islands, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde Islands, Comoro Islands, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Dominica, El Salvador, Fiji, Gabon, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macao (SAR China), Madagascar, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritania, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niue, Oman, Palau Islands, Qatar, Rwanda, Samoa, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Somalia, Tanzania, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Togo, Trinidad, Tunisia, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Zimbabwe.
