The notarial duties undertaken by nationals in the UAE include certifying diplomas, marriage and birth certificates issued, power of attorney paperwork, and other similar documents. These jobs are handled by the Embassy. The document to be attested must be presented in both its original and photocopy form, and both must be signed in front of the consular official who will verify the executant's identity using the deponent's passport.        All academic or professional credentials for Document Certification must be confirmed by the Embassy or Consulate in the UAE before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Government will issue a visa. As long as the Ministry of External Affairs, Government's Consular Section first attests the certificates, educational certificates attested by the UAE Government's Embassy and Consulate are also accepted.

 As a result, any certificates that are forwarded to the Consulate General and the Embassy for attestation must first be apostilled by the organizations.

Ethical attestation procedure for documents
