DGO stands for Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics. This is a postgraduate-level course. This course makes the medical candidate a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Candidates must have an MBBS or BAMS degree from a verified college or university to be eligible to apply for this program.  

What is DGO?

DGO stands for Diploma in Gynecology and Obstetrics. Here is a 2-year postgraduate level course. Gynecology focuses on the health of the female reproductive system, encompassing many issues such as menstrual disorders, fertility and conditions like polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). On the other hand, Obstetrics focuses on pregnant women counting with childbirth, prenatal care, and postnatal care. Candidates must hold an MBBS or BAMS degree from a verified university or college to enlist in this program.

Admission process

Must follow this point for entrance exam-based admission-

  • Registration: Primarily, a candidate makes their account by filling in the details like Name, phone number, E-mail, etc.
  • Application Form: After registration, candidates need to fill out the application form with all the required elements.
  • Uploading of documents: Scan and upload all the required documents. Note that all documents must be in one format.
  • Payment of application fees: Candidates have to pay an application fee.
  • Downloading of Admit card: Admit cards will be released after the candidate’s eligibility. Candidates can download or take print of it. An admit card is necessary on the date of the examination.
  • Entrance exam: Then, prepare for the exam. and appear in the examination hall as per the date mentioned.
  • Results: The scholar will receive the Results on the given date.
  • Counselling and admission: After the exam, counselling will be conducted for the candidate who has cleared the exam. Then they can take admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must complete the following points to get enrolled in the DGO program.

  • Candidates must have a valid MBBS or BAMS degree from a recognized college or university.
  • Candidates must Score at least 50% in the examination.
  • Admissions will be made completely based on the candidate’s performance in the examination and counselling process.
