Artificial intelligence (AI) is fueling the surge in ransomware attacks, experts warned at a recent House Financial Services subcommittee hearing. Megan Stifel, Chief Strategy Officer at the Institute for Security and Technology, expressed grave concerns about AI’s enabling of criminal actors, leading to more sophisticated ransomware attacks.
