父母团聚移民 (Parents Reunited and Immigrated) is one of the most common reasons for Canadian immigration. If you are a permanent resident of Canada, you can sponsor specific family members to accompany you.

If you are in Canada momentarily as a worker or a student, you might still be able to bring your loved ones with you!

Family Sponsorship

You may be eligible to sponsor family members to migrate to Canada once you acquire a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen. This is known as family sponsorship, which is 安省省提名 (Nominated by the Province of Ontario). Family sponsorship is perhaps the second most common reason for Canadian immigration, following only economic immigration.

Under family sponsorship, three sorts of family members are eligible:

  • Common-law partner or spouse
  • Dependent children
  • Grandparents or parents

You should be at least 18 years old and have sufficient income to meet the needs of any family you bring to Canada to be eligible. If you sponsor a family member, they automatically become a legal resident of Canada.

If you sponsor your husband or 父母团聚移民 (Parents Reunited and Immigrated) to Canada and they have dependent kids, you can sponsor their children.

Parental and Grandparental Visas

The Grandparent and Parent Sponsorship Programme have a limited number of spots available. Interested families have to complete an online form for application. Refugees, Immigration and Citizenship Canada, or IRCC, performs yearly drawings inviting specific people to apply.

IRCC offers a Super Visa for Parents and Grandparents to compensate for the program's restricted size. This visa is for multiple entries with a validity period of up to ten years, allowing grandparents or parents to reside in Canada for a maximum of two years on their first visit. For grandparents or parents to apply for the Super Visa, you have to be a lawful permanent resident or citizen of Canada.

Bringing along family members

You may bring your family to Canada if you come on a temporary permit, such as a study or work permit.

Temporary Employees

Suppose you have an acceptable employment offer from a Canadian employer and are seeking a work permit. In that case, your spouse and dependent children may be able to follow you to Canada, which is 安省省提名 (Nominated by the Province of Ontario).

If your kids are of school age, they can study in Canada without requiring separate study visas. Your partner or spouse may be qualified to apply for an open work visa, allowing them to find employment for any company in Canada.

Students from other countries

If accepted into a Canadian educational institution, you may include your partner and dependent children on the student visa application. International students' accompanying wives, like temporary workers, can apply for an open permit to work, and their dependent children may go to school in Canada.

Bottom Line:

父母团聚移民 (Parents Reunited and Immigrated) is one of the most common reasons for immigration to Canada. There are numerous alternatives for bringing your family or loved ones to Canada with you. We've discussed the most prevalent ones here.
