In early 2038, the military delegation sent by the Iranian authorities to Pakistan first came into contact with DZ-31A and DB-30a, followed by the famous "Islamabad Incident", in which a senior staff officer of the Pakistan Army Command sold the maintenance drawings of DZ-31A and DB-30a to Iranian spies at a price of 15 million yuan. Resulting in the leakage of the performance of the two equipment. Although the Military Intelligence Agency made it clear in its subsequent investigation report that Iran could not produce the main materials of DZ-31A and DB-30a, namely high-strength alloys, nor could it produce high-power superconducting motors and advanced composite batteries, nor could it produce electromagnetic guns and electromagnetic machine guns, there was no need to worry that Iran would copy them. However, this incident still prompted the Republican authorities to change the way of arms sales. When the Iranian President visited Beijing at the beginning of the following year, he signed an arms sales contract with the Iranian authorities for the export of 300 DZ-31A and 420 DB-30a. According to Western news reports, the "Islamabad Incident" was not initiated by Iranian intelligence agencies, but probably by the Republic's Military Intelligence Agency, plastic packing tube, because DZ-31C and DB-30D had been successfully developed at that time, but the Republic Army could not purchase them because it did not have enough funds to leak technical information, so that the government and the "Parliament" could lower exports. Sell the DZ-31A and DB-30a in the Army's inventory to obtain funds for new equipment and make room for new equipment. It is true that the DZ-31A and DB-30a used by the Republic Army were sold to Iran, but before they were shipped and exported, they were returned to the factory for comprehensive renovation, plastic cosmetic tubes, replacing the badly worn traveling mechanism and transmission mechanism, using new motors and composite batteries, and retaining only the chassis, turret, gun seat, observation and aiming equipment, communication equipment, etc. It is not uncommon for refurbished aircraft to be sold as new ones. The Mig-29 fighters sold by Russia to Algeria were refurbished aircraft used by the Russian Air Force, and some of the F-46Is sold by the United States to India were refurbished aircraft used by the United States Navy. For Iran, aluminium laminated tube ,empty lotion tubes, it only needs the most advanced main battle equipment in the world, and it will not care about its origin. To put it bluntly, if the Republic refuses to sell DZ-31A and DB-30a, Iran will not be able to buy these two main battle equipment, which are nearly 10 years ahead of Western countries, no matter how much money it pays. It is a great pity that Iran did not buy the production licenses of DZ-31A and DB-30a as it wished. It is of little significance for the Iranian authorities to purchase production licenses, because the main components of these two main battle equipment, such as armor, electromagnetic guns, composite batteries and motors, cannot be produced in Iran and must be imported from the Republic, while Iran can only produce secondary components such as chassis, walking mechanism and observation equipment. It is not cost-effective to purchase by importing parts and reassembling them because the price of spare parts is already on the high side. Because the Iranian authorities were very satisfied with the performance of DZ-31A and DB-30a, Ahmadinejad again requested the purchase of DZ-31 series and DB-30 series main battle equipment when he visited the Republic at the invitation of Gu Weimin at the end of 2039. Although the authorities of the Republic did not authorize the export of DZ-31C and DB-30D, they did not prevent the continued export of DZ-31A and DB-30a to Iran. In early 2040, after three months of negotiations, the two sides finally signed an arms trade contract with a total value of more than 500 billion yuan, which was executed in stages. According to the contract, the Iranian side will purchase 1200 DZ-31A main battle tanks and 1980 DB-30a infantry fighting vehicles from the Republic in three batches to form an army armored force with 1500 DZ-31A main battle tanks and 2400 DB-30a infantry fighting vehicles (enough to arm three armored divisions and five mechanized infantry divisions). Make the Iranian army the most powerful army in the Gulf and even in the Middle East); In addition to the first batch of 300 DZ-31A and 420 DB-30a purchased by importing the whole vehicle, the second batch of 450 DZ-31A and 630 DB-30a will be assembled in Iran by exporting modular parts. The third batch of 750 DZ-31As and 930 DB-30As will be assembled in Iran in the form of bulk spare parts export, and the manufacturers in the Republic will provide relevant technical assistance. This is an ambitious plan to expand the army, but it comes a little too late. Before the war, Iran acquired only 150 DZ-31A and 210 DB-30As. Because of the urgency of the war, the "Ahvaz Division" (the 5th Armored Division, formerly the "Khatami Division", renamed Ahvaz Division because of its heroic performance in the battle to liberate Ahvaz), which should have been reorganized according to the standards of armored divisions, had to lower its standards and temporarily reorganized according to the standards of mechanized infantry divisions. That is to say, apart from the Khomeini Division, only the Avas Division had a little fighting power. Crucially, custom cosmetic packaging, both divisions were present on the battlefield and were the absolute main force in the attack on Hakkari Province. Admittedly, the Iranian authorities took the attack very seriously. In a sense, both Ahmadinejad and Harsh took the battle as an opportunity to "rectify the name".
