Hvitsa Kvarachelia wants to leave Napoli.
Hvitsa was a mainstay for Napoli in the 2022-23 season. He terrorized opponents with his sharp shooting and explosive runs. He was the heart of Napoli"s attack. He scored 14 goals and created 17 assists in all competitions last season. He was named Serie A MVP for his performance.
His performance helped Napoli win their first Scudetto in 33 years. Last season, Napoli boasted a fearsome firepower. With Kim Min-Jae at the back, the team ran a fast attack centered around Hvitsa, Victor Osimhen, and Irving Rosano. Napoli opened the league unbeaten in 15 games and pulled away from the rest of the pack.
Napoli finished atop Serie A, with a whopping 16 points between them and second-place Lazio. It was a landslide victory. It was the first time since Diego Maradona that Napoli had won the league title, and the city was in a festive mood. In the UEFA Champions League (UCL), Napoli finished the competition in the quarterfinals, losing to AC Milan, but it was the best result in the club's history.
This season, however, Napoli has struggled and Hvitsa hasn't been as good as last season. Hvitsa has just 11 goals and nine assists in 45 appearances across all competitions this season. Napoli crashed out of the UCL in the round of 16 and finished 토토 10th in the league. This was not the Napoli of last season.
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) wanted Hvitsa. PSG had sold Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid and had identified Hvitsa as Mbappe's replacement. With Hvitsa also wanting to leave Napoli, it seemed like the transfer would go smoothly once the clubs finalized their negotiations.
Napoli's stance on Hvitsa was adamant. "We emphasize once again that the player and the club have a three-year contract," Napoli said, quoting a statement from Hvitsa's agent Mamuka Zugeli and his father Badri. Hvitsa is not on the market. It is not the agent or the father who decides the future of a player under contract with Napoli. It is the Napoli club that decides."
Hvitsa is a disruptive player. He is very good at keeping the ball and dribbles with a unique tempo. In addition, he can use both feet freely, giving him a lot of options on the flanks. PSG already have Bradley Barcola, but adding Hvitsa would be a great option.
