• Launch your Instgram app on your Android or IOS device.
• Tap on the DM icon on the top right corner of the screen.
• Now tap on your existing chat or use the “+” icon, on the top right to create a new chat.
• Now swipe up form the bottom of the screen and hold 1 to 2 seconds to turn on Vanish Mode. 
• It will turn your mobile screen black and a message will appear saying “You Turned on Vanish Mode”. 

Steps to Disable Vanish Mode on Instagram

Here is how to get out of vanish mode,

• Open the chat where you have turned on Vansih mode and it can be identified by the dotted circle.
• Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and release to disable Vanish mode.
• Once done, your Screen will return to normal and you can view your regular chat thread.
• You can view all the unread messages sent in vanish mode by clicking “See<n>disappearing messages.
