Eternals has two post-credits scenes, one at the end of the graphic credits, and the last one after all the credits end. Unveiling the Secrets: How Many End-Credit Scenes in Eternals?
What is it about and what do the Eternals post-credits scenes mean?
First scene
Taking the ending of the movie where Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos are captured by the celestial Arishem; we find ourselves on the ship of the Eternals with Thena, Makkari, and Druig learning of the disappearance of their friends.
At that moment, a strange character named Pip appears and introduces Eros, played by singer and actor Harry Styles.
Also called Starfox, he introduces himself as Thanos's brother and tells the Eternals that he can help them find their friends.
Starfox in the comics is also an Eternal and is effectively Thanos's brother. Hailing from Titan, he is completely different from the Mad Titan and represents a much more heroic version. For now, there is no information about the character of Styles in the future of Marvel, but in the same movie, it is announced that the Eternals will return in the future.
second and last scene
In these images, we meet Dane Whitman again, played by Kit Harrington. The character had already outlined that he was keeping a secret from Sersi about his family from him, and at this moment we can see him opening a box with the legend "Death is my reward" and an ancient and mysterious sword.
Before he can fully touch her, surely pushed by wanting to help Sersi, a voice is heard asking him if he is sure he is ready to do so.
For now, it has not been possible to identify the voice that speaks with Dane, and although some think it is Blade, a character that will be made into a movie by Marvel Studios played by Mahershala Ali, there have been no confirmations.
What we can tell you about is who Dane Whitman is, since in this film he is only shown as Sersi's boyfriend and a mystery is outlined in his past.
In the comics, Dane Whitman is the identity of the Black Knight, a sword-wielding superhero who has a dark curse and has been a part of the Avengers and other superhero groups.
The comics tell that the Whitman family and ancestors have worn the mantle of the Black Knight for decades and Dane is currently the bearer of that tradition. Owner of the Ebony Sword, this artifact has a curse every time it kills itself and drives its bearer mad, although in the comics Dane Whitman was able to put an end to this and use the sword to do good.
By not officially introducing himself as the Black Knight and having his origin story, Dane Whitman (Kit Harrington) will have a better future in the MCU and will eventually become this superhero.
